We provide installation and design courses to medical gas piping installers and medical gas systems design engineers. An initial seminar is performed on-site for the orientation of the medical gas installers. The purpose of this seminar is to acquaint installers with the special requirements for medical gas systems such as: proper nitrogen purging; de-greasing of piping, fittings and tools; identification of pipelines; minimum pipe sizes; installation of alarms; and prevention and removal of contamination. Instructions for the electrical contractor will also be given as to the proper emergency power and low voltage wiring required for local and master alarm conditions. A seven page set of orientation notes will be supplied to each installer, which they will be required to read, along with the relevant section of the specification and the standard. They will then be required to sign a declaration stating that they have read and understand the relevant material and NFPA standard.
